Elite Singles Tournament 2011
1.
USBC rules and
regulations will govern this tournament.
Any bowler not complying with the USBC Youth Bowling Code will be disqualified
from any and all awards.
2.
All USBC youth bowlers
are eligible to enter this tournament at 20 years of age or younger as of
August 1, 2011. Bowlers who are not sanctioned and have an average from a
non-sanctioned league may participate, however there will be a one-time $5 USBC
Participation Fee added to your entry fee.
3.
Divisions A and B
handicap will be 90% of 210. Division C
will be the scratch division. Bowlers
can only bowl in either Handicap or Scratch Division.
4.
Bowler’s averages
will come from their ending 2010 – 2011 Fall/Spring Season average with at
least 21 games as of May 14th 2011.
If the bowler did not bowl during the Fall/Spring Season, then their
average will be their ending 2011 Summer average with at least 21 games. If a bowler has neither Fall/Spring average
nor a Summer average, then a bowler may enter with their current league average
with a minimum of 9 games. A standing sheet must accompany all sign-up
sheets or the sign-up process will be incomplete and the bowler’s scores will
become void. Bowlers who bowl in more than one center must enter from the
center in which they have the highest average with a minimum of 21 games.

5. RE-ENTRIES ARE
PERMITTED. You are only allowed to win
one position. Highest ranking will be
taken if a bowler places in more than one of the rewarding positions. An entry in either handicap or scratch is $15
and re-entry is $13. YOU MAY ONLY ENTER
IN EITHER HANDICAP OR SCRATCH.
6.
Everyone will
bowl three (3) consecutive games ON THE
SAME PAIR OF LANES. Score sheets
must be signed or scores will not count.
7.
Scholarships will
be awarded to the Top 7 finalist in each division. The SMART program at USBC Headquarters will
handle the scholarship money. Account # 11479.
8.
While
competing, proper attire shall include shirts with sleeves, dress slacks or
jeans, and dress shorts. No tank tops,
denim shorts, cutoffs or spandex. NO OBSCENE
ATTIRE. All issues with regard to proper
attire will be decided upon by the tournament Dress Code Official.
9.
Only youth
bowlers, tournament officials, and scorekeepers are allowed in the bowler area
once competition begins. Coaching is
permitted outside of the bowling area.
Flash photography is not permitted during tournament play.
10.
In the event of a
tie, scholarship prize for positions affected will be given the same prize
amount.
11.
All bowlers will
act in a responsible manner. Abuse of
center equipment or other belongings, abusive language or profanity will not be
tolerated. Those not abiding by these
simple rules will be removed from competition immediately!!! Please remember
you are representing your center as well as yourself, so please behave
appropriately. The decision of the
tournament manager and Tennessee Junior Bowling Congress shall be final unless
an appeal is made.
